During the COVID-19 pandemic, lockdowns and economic disruptions left many families struggling to meet their basic needs. As employment opportunities declined and food insecurity increased, many vulnerable communities faced severe hardship.
In response to this crisis, Daffodil Foundation provided essential food supplies to 1,150 families, including 1,000 families under the Jeebika Chandpur-02 project. The support included rice, lentils, cooking oil, salt, onions, flour, and handwashing soap to help families meet their daily needs while maintaining basic hygiene.
Recognizing the urgent need for ready-to-eat meals among people facing extreme food shortages, the Foundation also prepared and distributed locally cooked biryani to affected communities.
Through these food support initiatives, the Foundation reached 2,392 people from 500 families under the Jeebika-01 project and 4,549 people from 1,000 families under the Jeebika Chandpur-02 project.
These efforts reflect Daffodil Foundation’s commitment to standing beside vulnerable communities during emergencies and providing practical support to families in times of crisis. The initiative demonstrated the importance of compassion, solidarity, and collective responsibility in overcoming humanitarian challenges.
